Let the journey begin...

To begin my adventures in early childhood blogging, I would like to share with you a quote from an amazing pioneer in early childhood education: “Children are human beings to whom respect is due, superior to us by reason of their innocence and of the greater possibilities of their future.” -Maria Montessori. I love this quote because it sums up why early childhood educators do the work that we do, and have such passion for it. We do not teach so that we can stand over children with authority. We teach because we love and respect the lives of these young people. They are in fact young people, who are simply trying to figure out the world in which they live. Let us always strive to guide them through this task.
